Doreen is currently in the Broadway production of the new musical Mrs. Doubtfire at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre playing the network exectuive Janet Lundy.  The show had its world premiere at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre this past season.

Doreen Is very excited to be featured in the upcoming film version of "In The Heights"as the Neighbor Lady as well as the voice of the bolero singer "Siempre"  based on the Tony winnning musical in which she was an original cast member,  directed by Jon Chu.  Doreen will also be seen as the Political Activist in "America" in the upcoming feature film of West Side Story directed by Steven Speilberg.

Doreen is a theatre/television/film performer and recording artist. She has recently released her solo album "American Soul/ Latin Heart" distributed by Broadway Records.  Her song Te Sone written by Jaime Lozano from the album was pre selected for 2017 Latin Grammy consideration. Doreen was last seen as Camila in Westport Country Playhouse "In The Heights",  asTanya in Mamma Mia @ Axelrod Performing Arts Center,  Amalia in the world premiere of Jose Cruz Gonzalez' play "American Mariachi" at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and The Old Globe in San Diego.  Doreen has recently returned from playing Gloria Estefan's mother "Gloria Fajardo" on the road in the first National tour of the hit Broadway musical "On Your Feet",  the story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. as well as taking over the role on Broadway for the last 6 months of its Broadway run.  She also performed the role on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre.  The show performed a pre Broadway run in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre.

She toured the country in the First National tour of "Flashdance the Musical" in the role of Louise and performed the role of "Gloria Fajardo" in the lab workshop of the "On Your Feet" based on the life of Gloria and Emilio Estefan.   

An  original cast member of the Tony Award winning "In The Heights" originating the role of  ,the Bolero Singer, as well as understudying the roles of Daniela, Camila, and Abuela Claudia respectively.  She also is a recipient of 2007 Drama Desk award for best ensemble.

Doreen can be heard singing on many cd's and recordings including, Disney's Moana,  3 Broadway Cares Chirstmas Albums, Dare To Go Beyond, for Revolucion latina, the original cast recording of "In The Heights", "Giant", "Desiree" "Frida", and more and in 2004 released her solo debut cd, "Volvere" with Meme Solis. Which was selected for 2005 Latin Grammy and American Grammy consideration. Doreen has released her latest cd American Soul/Latin Heart.

Other theatre credits include  workshop of new musical  "The View Upstairs", "Cubamor" at New York Live Arts, "The Piper" at Irish Repertory Theatre, AMAs reading of the new musical "The Countess of Storyville", "Disenchanted" at the Cherry Lane Theatre, Broadway musical "In The Heights" ,Fantasy Mama, in "The Tenth Floor" Flora in "Magpie:" at the New York Music Theatre Festival (AMAS) as well as touring with the Comedy/Musical show "The Watercoolers", The World premiere of Frank Loesser's "Senor Discretion Himself"as "La Curandera", Manhattan Theatre Club and The O'Neill Center's Workshop of "In The Heights"Abuela "Claudia", starring in the critically acclaimed one-woman musical "Havana Under The Sea" (Cecilia) Off Broadway at the Intar Theatre ; Where she won the 2003 Hola Award for Best Actress.  and starring in the title role of La Lupe in "La Lupe, My Life,My Destiny", "at the Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre. 

Doreen has also taken her solo cabaret act around South America, the Carribbean , Mexico, and up and down The Mississippi River . She also performs in a show she created called "From The Bronx to Broaway in cabarets all around NYC as well as her solo show "I've just got to sing my song". Doreen has performed at 54 Below,  Joes Pub, BB Kings NYC, The Metropolitan Room, The Triad, The Laurie Beechman theatre.  She is a recent alumni of the Eugene O'neill Cabaret Symposium in Waterford Ct.

Television/Film credits include: 'Alternatino", "Madame Secretary",  ""The Tale of Timmy Two Chins" SHowtime,  "Elementary", "Smash" NBC, "The Good Wife" CBS, "Law and Order"NBC, "One Life To Live" as Dr. Baez, and also on ABC's "All My Children" as the voice of Consuelo (the telenovela soap star), and Clara the Chandler Maid. And the films "Tracked", "Jack, Jules, Esther and Me", "Hooray for Love" 

She is an avid canoe/kayacker and splits her time between the Pocono Mountains and New York city where she resides with her husband Mike and her Lhasa, Bandit.
